ADD NEW TAX - This menu selection will allow you to add new tax
records to your tax file.
VIEW/EDIT EXISTING TAX - This menu selection will allow you to
view, and edit an existing tax record. Once you have created a tax
record, you cannot delete it, but you may edit it.
REBUILD TAX INDEX - This menu selection will allow you to rebuild
the tax index files.
EXIT TO MAIN MENU - This menu selection will allow you to return to
the main menu.
@Desc
DESCRIPTION- is a ten character field. You may enter upper & lower
case letters. This description is used to identify what this tax is
for, i.e. food, non-food, gasoline etc.
@State
STATE - is a two character field.
@StateRate
TAX RATE - Enter the percentage state sales tax rate. You may enter
two digits to the left, and three digits to the right of the decimal.
i.e. 10.555.
@County
COUNTY - is a twenty character field. Enter the county, the way
you want it to appear on your reports.
@CountyRate
TAX RATE - Enter the percentage county sales tax rate. You may enter
two digits to the left, and three digits to the right of the decimal.
i.e. 10.555.
@City
CITY - is a twenty character field. Enter the city, the way you want
it to appear on your reports.
@CityRate
TAX RATE - Enter the percentage city sales tax rate. You may enter
two digits to the left, and three digits to the right of the decimal.
i.e. 10.555.
@Other
OTHER - is a twenty character field. Enter the name of the other
taxing body the way you want it to appear on your reports.
@OtherRate
TAX RATE - Enter the percentage other sales tax rate. You may enter
two digits to the left, and three digits to the right of the decimal.
i.e. 10.555.
@SearchKey
You may search the tax file by tax code, state, county, city or other
. Press the arrow down or arrow up key to change search method. Press
the <Enter> key to start on the first record.
@end
This is the end.
